Comedian Steve Smith - Sober Steve

Born and raised in Seattle, I got my show business feet wet at a very early age. By the time I was nine I had been in a movie and was a regular on local television. Not sure if I was getting all this work because I was funny or just funny looking I continued my acting throughout college. I attended The Evergreen State College in Washington. A liberal arts school where I majored in theatre. This college was so liberal didn't give grades just evaluations. Still, to this day, I have no idea what my grade point was. It was here, in college, that i caught the comedy bug. After touring the Northwest and Canada for a few years I decided (Okay asked) to leave Seattle for the bright lights of Los Angeles. Plus, if you stay to long in Seattle you either start to grow roots or play grunge. Less then a year in Los Angeles I was tragically killed. First by Freddy Kruger in the movie Nightmare On Elm Street 2.

Then I got a lead role in the movie Slaughterhouse Rock. All the while compiling over 40 television appearances as a stand-up comic . It only was a matter of time before I needed to branch out even further as a performer. I started the critically acclaimed improvisational group The Bargain Basement Players (We later changed the name to "An Unpleasant Smell") which played for three years at the Santa Monica Improv . I also had a starring role in the movie "Nice Guys" most recent stand-up comedy journeys have taken me around world. From Honduras to Japan to Cuba to Korea to The Edinburgh Comedy Festival in Scotland.

Steve Smith is a 25 year veteran of the comedy circuit...and most importantly, he has over 20 years of clean and sober time as a member of A.A., C.A. and N.A. (he needs them all). He's currently performing to rave reviews (and standing ovations) at A.A., N.A. & C.A. Conventions world-wide.
